Property Manager Description

This position will manage all aspects of the multi-family and commercial buildings. This includes staffing, leasing, financial management, interaction with tenants, oversight of maintenance and operations. Responsible for the leadership, management and operational success of the properties. This position reports to the Facilities Director.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring, training, oversight of all on-site staff members, including maintenance, leasing, vendors and all operational functions.
  • Leasing vacant space as it becomes available. Responsible for securing letters of interest and leases for vacant space.
  • Providing marketing materials and ensuring space is marketed for vacancy in all buildings.
  • Demonstrating the highest and best customer service and setting the expectation for the team.
  • Communicating with all tenants and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Establishing and adhering to a budget for the facility and allocating funds to specific departments or expenses as needed.
  • Overseeing the billing, credit, collections operations for assigned business units.
  • Leading teams in the building to ensure all staff members meet goals and fulfill tenant’s expectations.
  • Brainstorming solutions for financial or practical problems that arise during the facility’s operation.
  • Providing regular safety training for all personnel.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Facilities Director.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of and support for the company’s philosophy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, tenants and colleagues.
  • Ability to make oral presentations. Have effective communication skills. Ability to speak, read, writes, and understands English.
  • Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. Microsoft Office version 1997, 2000 or XP, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, E- mail, Outlook, Internet Explorer.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience in managerial capacity
  • Proven leadership & management skills
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality regarding tenant & proprietary information
  • Ability to relate professionally & work cooperatively with tenants & staff at all levels.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to drive and flexibility to travel 30% to various sites as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
